International Women’s Day at US Masterbatch

International Women’s Day, celebrated every year on March 8, is a time to honor, respect, and show love to women around the world. In Vietnam, this day also commemorates the Trung Sisters, two national heroines who led a historic uprising to protect the country’s sovereignty.

I. The Origin and Significance of International Women’s Day

1, History of birth:

The roots of International Women’s Day trace back to the movement of female textile workers in New York, USA, in 1857. These women bravely protested poor working conditions and low wages. Two years later, they formed the first female labor union. On March 8, 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York demanding better wages, shorter working hours, and the end of child labor.

In 1910, Clara Zetkin proposed choosing March 8 as International Women’s Day during a socialist women’s conference. Her suggestion honored women’s global struggle for equality and rights, including the right to vote.

2, Meaning of International Women’s Day:

This day reminds us to appreciate women’s sacrifices and efforts. Women often balance career and family while enduring many challenges. March 8 gives society the chance to show gratitude and recognition for these efforts. In many countries, men express their appreciation by giving flowers and gifts to mothers, wives, colleagues, and loved ones.

Beyond gestures, this day is also about advocating for gender equality. Events around the world call for equal pay, better working conditions, access to education, protection against violence, and more.

3, Celebration activities:

International Women’s Day in Vietnam is an opportunity to honor women, half of the world, and is often held very solemnly, filled with flowers and good wishes. It is also the day men show loving care for the women they love.

II, International Women’s Day at US Masterbatch

1, US Masterbatch JSC

US Masterbatch JSC was founded in 2016 by Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh. The company started with a small factory in Thach That, Hanoi. Despite limited resources, Mr. Dang saw great potential in the plastic industry. His vision drove the team forward.

In 2018, US Masterbatch expanded to a larger facility in Tien Xuan commune, Hanoi. This marked the company’s first big step. With a monthly capacity of 3,000MT, the company began exporting to international markets.

By 2021, the second factory was built in Minh Quang Industrial Park, Hung Yen. This location, near Hai Phong Port, provided a logistical advantage. With a monthly output of 8,000MT and 200 employees, US Masterbatch became one of the top three masterbatch producers in Vietnam. Over 90% of its output is now exported to countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Italy.

In 2023, the third factory began construction in Tien Tien Industrial Park, Hoa Binh. This new facility has double the capacity of the second one. US Masterbatch continues to fulfill its promise: “We say, we do,” delivering quality products at competitive prices.

2, US Masterbatch JSC celebrates International Women’s Day 2024
