International Women’s Day at US Masterbatch

International Women’s Day is March 8 every year. This is an opportunity to honor, show love and respect for women around the world. In Vietnam, this day also commemorates the uprising of the Trung Sisters, two national heroines, when they first drove out the Northern invaders and regained national sovereignty.

I, Origin and meaning of International Women’s Day:

1, History of birth:

 

International Women’s Day began with the movement of female textile workers in the United States at the end of the 19th century. On March 8, 1857, textile workers rose up against difficult and poor working conditions in New York City. Two years later, also in March, American female textile workers formed the first union and won some rights. About 50 years later, on March 8, 1908, 15,000 women marched on the streets of New York demanding higher wages, reduced working hours and the abolition of child labor. The American Socialist Party declared International Women’s Day to be February 28, 1909. However, on March 8, 1910, at the Women’s Conference organized by the Second International (Socialist International), 100 women delegates from 17 countries demanded the right to vote for women. The Conference Chairwoman, Ms. Clara Zetkin, a German woman, proposed choosing an international women’s day to pay tribute to women who have struggled around the world.

2, Meaning of International Women’s Day:

In 365 days of a year, women have one day to receive attention from society and compensate for the disadvantages and hardships in life. They always silently sacrifice and endure to build family happiness. Therefore, they deserve to receive more respect and attention from the other half of the world, sharing with them the difficulties at work and family.

In some countries around the world, March 8 is considered the main holiday of the year and is celebrated very loudly. In these societies, men give flowers and gifts to the women in their lives such as mothers, wives, girlfriends, etc.

Furthermore, International Women’s Day is celebrated with festivals and parades demanding equal rights with men, on practical issues such as salary, education and training opportunities, and career advancement employment, or social security conditions, combating prostitution and violence against women…

In our country, to honor women, half the world, agencies, organizations, and families often celebrate March 8 very solemnly, filled with flowers and good wishes. March 8 is also the day men show loving care for the women they love.

US Masterbatch Joint Stock Company was founded in 2016 by Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh. The first manufacturing factory is headquartered in Thach That, Hanoi. We started a small factory, the number of employees is not much, the output meets domestic consumer demand. Thach That is still the place chosen by the management and the new factory was built in Tien Xuan commune, Thach That district, Hanoi. At this time, the factory output is up to 3000MT/month. The market expanded, not only providing for domestic production partners, the company had its first export orders, bringing Vietnamese products to the international market, opening up a path for outstanding development in the future.

The year 2021 has marked a remarkable development for US Masterbatch: the second factory was built and US Masterbatch Joint Stock Company is in the top 3 largest masterbatch manufacturers in the Vietnamese market. The second factory of US Masterbatch Joint Stock Company is located in Minh Quang Industrial Park, My Hao district, Hung Yen province. This place is considered a prime location with advantages such as convenient transportation and near the largest seaport in the north: Hai Phong Port. Hung Yen factory has a capacity of up to 8000MT/month, with about 200 employees. Export activities are strong when more than 90% of the company’s output is exported to countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Italy… US Masterbatch Joint Stock Company is considered the fastest growing company in the field of masterbatch in Vietnam.

Continuing the success and development, in 2023, US Masterbatch Joint Stock Company will build a third factory with a scale and capacity double that of the second factory. Our third factory is built in Tien Tien industrial park, Hoa Binh, Vietnam. The factory was officially be put into operation at the end of 2023, ensuring to provide the market with suitable products at the most competitive prices.
